There is another problem with the price relative scan, so I don't have one tonight either. I think I have run into the physical limits of the Open Office spreadsheet, and it is causing problems. I have taken the spreadsheet, which had reached the limits of memory, and divided it into 3 seperate spreadsheets: One to calculate the price relative value (that one works correctly), one to scan for new highs and breakouts (the first part is working, but the second part is not), and one to scan for rising price relative, new high or otherwise (that is also working, but is very slow). All 3 worked in my trial runs with small amounts of data, but when I loaded them with the full database, they choked. What I will probably do is run a separate spreadsheet for each function, which will be more work but will take less computer time (when the spreadsheet is running, I can't run any other spreadsheets and can barely run other programs). When I have these working properly I will resume the scans, and in the meantime I will be collecting the necessary data so there won't be any gaps. This is getting pretty frustrating.
EDIT: I just found out tomorrow is President's Day and the markets are closed, so I have been given a 24 hour reprieve.
