When you have a group leading both lists, you know you have found some strength.Cigarettes has the same number of stocks advancing as making new highs, but oddly enough they are not all the same stocks.
BTI and
PM have dropped after making new highs, but 3 others are still advancing.
VGR is also advancing and is close to a new high. The only relatively weak stock in the group is
CIGX, and it is also the most volatile. This group is generally strong in strong markets, but on a relative basis is even stronger in weak markets. This could be telling us we are going to have some weakness coming.
