When the daily and intraday charts agree on something, it's time to pay attention. On the daily charts I have been projecting a target of about 1340, and here on the 15 minute chart it looks like tht next pivot point is at 1337. We nearly got there this morning, but just after I got the chart, the market went into a nosedive and is about to give back what it gained. Among the sectors, the leaders are XLP, XLI, and XLB, the laggards are XLF and XLE. The Nasdaq and Russell 2000 are about even, but the Dow is way out front. Oil and gold are up, treasury yields down.
I have 202 new highs so far, with breakouts in ACAT, LSI, PMTC, WCC, and AUY. From last night I have the following reports: ISSI up 1.6%, LSI up 2%, SNDK down 9%, URI up 8.8%. From this morning (not all confirmed to have reported): ACAT up 12.3%, DEST up 3.5%, ESI down 9%, MJN up 5.9%, NEI up 1.5%, WCC up 5.7%.
